Mid America has a complete selection of reels, in both a 3 piece design, and a two piece design. Many customers prefer the versatility of our 3 piece reels, that incorporate our stepped hub, that enables a nice round finished product. Our 3 piece reels, have flange sizes of 7 ½ inches, 13 inches, 15 inches, and finally our 22 inch flange. The 15 inch reel holds 50% more parts than a standard 13 inch, and the 22 inch holds 3 times as many parts as a normal 13 inch. It has been our experience that most feeders, with easily accommodate our 15 inch reels. A special feeder will probably be required for the 22 inch. Our 7 ½ inch flange, locks to our 4 inch cores, to allow us greater small reel flexibility, for larger width carrier tapes. Our 7 ½ reel, accommodates the same number of parts, as a standard 7 inch reel, with the smaller core size. These flanges can be fitted with the following cores, our 8 mm x 4 inch , 12 mm x 4 inch , 16 mm x 4 inch, 24 mm x 4 inch, 32 mm x 4 inch, 44 x 4 inch, 56 x 4 inch, 72 x 4 inch and 88 by 4 inch. For larger pitch carrier tapes, you might find, our 6 inch cores to be more appropriate, and they will work with the 13, 15 and 22 inch flanges. They are available in 44x6, 56x6, 72x6 and 88x6. |
